MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A late fall storm sweeping into Minnesota was making for messy roads.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports one person died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 near St. Cloud Monday. The St. Cloud Times reports westbound I-94 has reopened.
In northeastern Minnesota, the storm had dumped 2 to 4 inches of snow by 4:30 p.m. The Duluth News Tribune reports about 3 inches had fallen in the Duluth-Superior, Cloquet and Carlton areas and 5 inches of more in parts of Itasca County.
A second, heavier round of snow is expected Tuesday into Tuesday night.
When it's done Wednesday, snowfall may reach 10 to 15 inches for the Twin Ports and across northeastern Minnesota. Northwestern Wisconsin may see 8 to 12 inches.
Lows should fall well below zero Thursday night.
