Holmen woman named Ray Kroc Award Winner

HOLMEN, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Ray Kroc Award has been given to general managers of Mc Donald's since 1999. The award is only given to  the top one percent of managers nation-wide.

Tuesday, Lacie Mikkelson was surprised by friends, coworkers, and mentors as she joined the ranks of Ray Kroc Award Winners. Lacie has been an employee of Mc Donald's since 2000 and took over managing the Holmen location in 2012. Of the many accomplishments that led up to this award, Lacie has been active in raising funds for the Ronald Mc Donald House Charities. Just two weeks ago her restaurant raised more than 4500 dollars in ten days.
Lacie said, "I just can't wait to tell all my family and friends and just everybody that I know to be involved...I'm just so surprised and its such an honor that I just want to tell everybody."

Lacie said this is something she has wanted since she started and she wouldn't be a success without the help of her team. Lacie will be flown to Chicago for an award ceremony and her name will be added to the wall of award winners at Hamburger University in Oakbrook, Illinois.
