BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A homicide charge is filed over a crash that killed a motorcyclist last year in Jackson County.
26-year-old Randi Rupnow of Taylor is charged with one count of Homicide by Negligent Driving.
In October, 2012, investigators say she was driving on Highway 12/27 last year when she turned in front of a motorcycle. The driver of the bike, Jesse Rauk, was killed.
Rupnow told police she never saw the motorcycle, but investigators say the road was flat and there was an excellent sightline. They determined the crash was caused by her decision to turn into the path of the motorcycle.
She is scheduled for a court appearance on December 9.
