Affordable Care Act Application Assistance Continues in La Crosse

La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW) - La Crosse County will continue to provide assistance to those navigating the Wisconsin Healthcare Marketplace. 

So far, the Western Region Enrollment Network has provided assistance to almost 100 people in enrolling in health care at their event this week.


The Marketplace has been set up to provide information on how to apply for health insurance coverage including Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).


La Crosse County will continue to provide open office times for community members to access the Healthcare Marketplace and will be providing certified application counselors to assist in the process.

A session will be offered Friday, Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. at La Crosse County's Administrative Center, 400 4th St N, in the County Board Room, Room B410.

Individuals planning on coming should have with them all participants' Social Security numbers or document number for legal immigrants, employer and income information for every household member who needs coverage (pay stubs or W-2 forms) and policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household.
