LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Politicians have become extremely divided in recent years. But two local politicians have decided to put aside their differences, at least for the holiday season.
In the second annual Together For Toys bipartisan toy drive, local Democrat Andrew Londre and local Republican Julian Bradley have bridged the gap between the isle to give some toys to kids that need them.
The two decided last year after the recall that the holidays would be a good time to bring their parties together and do something for the community.
Andrew Londre said, "You can have disagreements about politics, but at the end of the day the goal really should be to do everything you can to try to improve your community."
If you want to donate a toy to the drive, you can drop it off at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center by December 12th.
