La Crosse, WIS. (WXOW) -------- The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse men's basketball knocked off UW-Eau Claire 75-59.
Lucas Collum scored a game high 17 points and both Braden Tice and Trent Schmidt reached double figures.
"Another good win for us. I thought we did a good job at battling through some adversity today. It wasn't one of our cleaner games. Eau Claire did something things that impacted the way we played and what we did. I thought we battled through some of that and came through in the stretch and made some key plays. I thought our offense got a lot better and clamped down a little bit defensively," said Head Coach Ken Koelbl.
"We really made our main priority to stop the drive and the kick. 1st half we struggled a little bit, but as the 2nd half went on we really got to them there," said Forward Lucas Collom.
The Eagles improve to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the WIAC and the Blugolds fall to 4-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
