APPLETON, Wis. (AP) - Appleton Xavier senior quarterback Matt Ferris is the Wisconsin Associated Press High School Football Player of the Year.

The AP's coach of the year is Clint Peters of Winneconne, whose team went from being a No. 6 seed to winning the WIAA Division 4 state title.
