GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - The Packers' defense is on the rebound after a subpar five-game stretch.
Green Bay played well against the run in the 22-21 win Sunday over Atlanta. The Packers came up with clutch turnovers and improved as the game went along - all points of concern this season.
Defensive coordinator Dom Capers called it the best tackling performance of the season. Just in time to help end a five-game winless slide and keep the Packers (6-6-1) in the playoff chase.
The team got a jolt from backup defensive back Jarrett Bush, normally a special teams ace. He played tight coverage when tight end Tony Gonzalez dropped a fourth-down pass. Then Bush finished of the Falcons with an interception with 4 seconds left.
