Milwaukee, WISCONSIN (WXOW) - Pimento cheese may not be a familiar cheese treat in the Midwest, and Martha's Pimento Cheese is hoping to change that.
Martha's Pimento Cheese makes the vegetable and cheese combination with real Wisconsin cheddar, real pimento peppers from the south, and real mayonnaise along with a few other spices. But what makes it really special for Martha are the first and second place awards bestowed at the recent American Cheese Society competition for her Plain and Jalapeno Pimento Cheese.
"I think one of our best assets is dairy and great, great cheese. So this is a whole new way to showcase great Wisconsin cheese!", says Martha Davis Kipcak, founder of Martha's Pimento Cheese. "To win the American Cheese Society Award was stunning. And I love that because it…that particular award is not about the story, and the great looking labels. It's just about the product itself.
