ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- The Ashley's Angels project is seeking to brighten up Christmas for local kids.
The volunteer effort, organized by Ashley Furniture Stores, delivers clothes and Christmas gifts to children in need.
Organizers in our area expect to donate to approximately 350 kids.
Those hoping to help can drop in at the Walmart store in Onalaska.
Representatives from the Ashley's Angels project will be near the gardening area. They've been given a list of anonymous, needy children from various area schools.
Volunteers can request a child, and then shop for him or her in the store.
Each child's lists contains information like clothing sizes and a wish list of toys.
Shopping is taking place in Onalaska until 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday until 5 p.m.
After gifts have been purchased for every child, Ashley Furniture truck drivers will deliver them to various schools.
