Madison, WISCONSIN (WKOW) The fourth ranked basketball Badgers have faced very few bumps in the road this season.
One hiccup is the recent departure of guard George Marshall from the program.
That opens a door for Bronson Koenig.
The highly touted freshman and Aquinas H.S. graduate has been eased into the rotation.
He's averaging just three points in 15 minutes of action per contest.
But head coach Bo Ryan is seeing the light come on for his young guard.
"I guess I haven't been playing up to my standards and everything. I've always been taught to never be satisfied with my game and everything and I'm just trying to get better and learn as much as I can every day," Koenig said.
"He's picked up in every area. The game was probably a little quicker, a little stronger in the beginning when you're looking at it. He knows now he can compete. He's ready to get more. I like hungry people," said Ryan.
