WASHINGTON, D.C. (WXOW) Wisconsin Third District Congressman Ron Kind says he's voting for the budget deal. He's concerned, though, that the bill does not extend unemployment benefits.
He'd also like to see a long term deficit reduction agreement and he wanted a resolution for the debt ceiling debate. Still, Kind says "there are going to be things in the way of cooperation and compromise that you're not necessarily going to like. But if this brings two years of relative stability on budget matters coming out of Washington to help restore business and family confidence, this may be what the economy needs in order to get going and create the good paying jobs without waiting for the next crisis to come out of Washington."
The House adjourns for the year on the 13th. The Senate is scheduled to vote on the deal the week of the 15th. The president says, he'll sign the deal.
