Logan High School collects gifts for underprivileged

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Logan High School students are getting in to the holiday spirit; collecting gifts for local elementary kids.

The gift drive gathers presents for students from schools that feed in to Logan. The recipients are kids who's families can't afford gifts.

It's organized by the National Honor's Society. The students collected presents for about 130 kids.

"It's definitely a good feeling," said Konner Reikowski, a senior at Logan. "I personally haven't had to really worry about getting Christmas gifts and it's great to know that I can help brighten someone else's holiday and get them a gift and make them happy."

The gift drive is an 11 year old tradition and has collected a total of about 1500 gifts over the years.
