Local Musician Organizes Concert to Benefit WAFER

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  A local musician wants your help Saturday, December 21st.

Jim Zill owns La Crosse Instrument Repair.  For years, he's collected food at his shop for the WAFER Food Pantry.  But Jim wants to expand his support.  He says he knows people who use WAFER's services and he says everyone can help make a difference.

With the help of a number of local sponsors, he's organized a concert featuring nine bands.  He calls it Wafer Jam.  All he's asking is that you donate money or food items to hear the concert.

Wafer Jam is at the Overtime Sports Bar located at 1920 Ward Avenue in La Crosse.  The concert begins at 3 PM.  The headline act is Bill Miller.  The other acts are Muddy Flats and the Hep Cats, Condemned in Stone, Tabasco Cat, Red Sky Warning, Dave Rogers Blues Band, Tugg, Irene Keenan and the Skeleton Crew and Actual Size.

This is the first Wafer Jam, but Jim says he plans a second annual event next year.
