Eau Claire, WI (WQOW) - Another round of snow will impact the Chippewa Valley tonight. 1 to 3 inches of accumulation are expected by daybreak Friday morning.
Stormtracker 18 Weather meteorologists say most of the snow will be light, but some bouts of moderate snow and lower visibilities cannot be ruled out. Roads will be at least partially snow-covered and slippery on Friday morning, making for difficult travel around the area.
Some snow could linger into Friday too, though the activity is expected to be light and scattered. The weather team is also keeping their eyes on a potential winter storm on Sunday. The latest thinking is southern and eastern Wisconsin will experience heavy snow, while the Chippewa Valley falls on the cusp. However, a small change in the storm's track in either direction will lead to more snow or less snow.
