Village of Taylor, WI (WXOW) – A drug investigation by Jackson and La Crosse Counties, leads to the arrest of five people.
Investigators said they had received tips that methamphetamine was being manufactured and distributed from a home on 21 1st Street, in the Village of Taylor. The tipsters said a child was possibly living in the house.
Officials executed a search warrant of the residents shortly before 11:30 p.m. Dec. 17. and found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, numerous items of stolen property, and a firearm inside the house. A child was also home at the time and placed in protective custody.
Five people were arrested. Laura Rud, 37, was arrested for possession of meth and possession of meth paraphernalia.
Holly Stanfield, 33, was arrested for the same charges and receiving stolen property.
Terrance Whitehead, 32, was arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug and meth paraphernalia and party to the crime receiving stolen property.
Joshua Smith, 38, was arrested for possession of meth paraphernalia, party to the crime receiving stolen property and felon in possession of a firearm.
Robert Stanfield, 30, possession of meth, possession of meth paraphernalia, receiving stolen property and felon in possession of a firearm.
