Five arrested in Jackson County meth bust

BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Five people are in custody following a drug raid on a home in Taylor in Jackson County.

Based on tips that methamphetamine was being made and distributed from a home at 21 First Street, the Jackson County Emergency Response Team, an investigator from the Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG), and a La Crosse County Sheriff's Investigator searched the home on late on December 17.

According to Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera, tips to law enforcement also indicated that a child was possibly in danger due to the drug activities.

The search of the home turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, stolen property, and a firearm were among the items found by officers.

A child was taken from the home and put into protective custody.

Five people were arrested a variety of charges. They are:

Laura D. Rud, 37, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Holly Stanfield, 33, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Receiving stolen property.

Terrance Whitehead, 32, Possession of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Party to the crime receiving stolen property, and Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia.

Joshua Smith, 38, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia, Party to the crime receiving stolen property, and Felon in Possession of a firearm.

Robert Stanfield, 30, Possession of Methamphetamine Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine, Receiving stolen property, and Felon in possession of a firearm.

Stanfield is currently in the La Crosse County Jail.
