La Crosse teenager arrested after allegedly stealing car, driving to Rochester


ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Three teenagers are in trouble with authorities following an alleged joy ride in a stolen car.

According to Rochester police, an officer was on patrol early Friday morning on the 600 block of 11th Avenue Northeast and discovered a car stuck in the snow.

A male and 2 females -- all teenagers-- were inside. After investigating, it was discovered they had fled the Family Children's Center in La Crosse, Wis.

The boy is accused of stealing the car and then picking up the other two before driving to Rochester.

He was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center for possession of stolen property.

The girls were returned to the Children's Center in La Crosse.
