Orlando, FLORIDA (WXOW) It's widely perceived that the SEC is the best conference in college football.
The Big Ten meanwhile, is 0-2 in bowl games this season, 0-4 if you count losses by soon-to-be members Maryland and Rutgers.
But Wisconsin is favored to win the Capital One Bowl, despite the fact that South Carolina has a better overall record and a higher ranking.
"I don't want to sound like a cocky guy, but I take it as a slap in the face. For us to be the higher ranked team coming into this game, and being labeled as the underdog, we kind of take it as a team collectively, because we know what type of guys we have coming to this ball park on Wednesday. We just feel like we deserve much more respect than we're getting right now," said South Carolina defensive lineman Chaz Sutton.
"I was a little surprised. We're confident we're going to win, but there's a huge SEC bias out there. But yeah, I was surprised, but still confident and we expect to win," said Badgers senior linebacker Chris Borland.
The Badgers and South Carolina meet at noon Wednesday in a game that can be seen on WXOW 19.
