LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A couple of local families brought in the New Year with a baby.
The first born at Gundersen Health System Thursday.
Emily Josephine arrived at 12:01.
Emily's mother says the baby was due December 19th.
Lisa Halvorson, new mom says everything is "going very smoothly. Learning all her little cues and receiving some guidance along the way. Considering it was the first one it went a lot smoother than I've heard for some other people."
During 2013 Gundersen says they've delivered more than 1,400 babies.
The most popular girls name, Ava, and for boys Jackson.
