Rotary Lights concludes

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Rotary Lights will no longer shine at Riverside Park.

Clean-up of the light display began around 7:30 Wednesday morning.

More than 130 volunteers lent a hand with the tear down.

President Pat Stephens says it took about four weeks to set up the lights and it will take two weeks to take them down.

Stephens says, "We always find better way to put up and to take down. Anything we can do to put on wheels to make it easier for hauling and so on, we do that. And within the next couple weeks, we'll bring a focus group together to really start concentrating on the 20th year and what we might be able to do that's new, and exciting, and different for that. "

Rotary Lights started 6 days later this season.

Stephens said the community's generosity helped them have a successful donation year.
