Badgers look ahead after another Bowl disappointment

Posted:

Orlando, FLORIDA (WXOW)  The Badgers will spend another off-season thinking about what could have been.

Yesterday's 10-point loss to South Carolina was their 4th straight loss in a bowl game.

As recently as late November, the Badgers were hoping to land a spot in a BCS bowl.

But a loss to Penn State in the season finale and then Wednesday left Wisconsin with a nice 9-4 record.

But they also struggled against the top teams on their schedule.

"I'd say it was a successful disappointing season. That's kind of a backwards answer. We came out and did some good things. We handled transition. we handled the new coaching staff, new techniques and took everything in stride," said defensive lineman Ethan Hemer.

"I'm still proud of these guys. We still had a good season. We had a chance to be great. We had chances throughout the season to win close games like this one today. We fought hard and that's why I love these guys," said running back James White.
