LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A La Crosse shelter is expanding to take in more people during this cold weather.
The Catholic Charities La Crosse Warming Center announced late this afternoon that they are able to take in up to 30 adult men and women. They received 15 extra chairs from the Red Cross, to give those in need a warm place to escape from the bitter cold.
The center is in the First Baptist Church at 1209 West Main Street in La Crosse.
According to a release, they will have expanded services as long as the sub-freezing temperatures continue.
