LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- While the bulk of schools, and a handful of local businesses, were closed Monday due to freezing temperatures, some worked through the cold.
The mail still had to get delivered.
La Crosse mail carries said they layered on plenty of heavy clothes.
One said he was applying Vaseline to his exposed skin areas, such as on his face, to help keep his skin from drying out.
"I'll be fine," the mail carrier joked. "It's just cold."
