La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -La Crosse residents receiving postcards and letters from a company called HOMESERVE are asked to call their utilities department.
The La Crosse Utilities office said they have been receiving many calls from customers with questions about postcards and letters La Crosse resident have received from a company called HOMESERVE.
The letters promotes an insurance program that covers emergency repairs to the portion of the water service owned by the property owner. Officials said many other Wisconsin communities have seen similar mailings. This is the second wave of local mailings that the Utilities office is aware of.
Officials said HOMESERVE and the insurance program that company is promoting are no way associated with the City of La Crosse or the City's utilities. Property owners are urged to contact and consult with their personal homeowner insurance agents for advice related to this type of coverage.
