ARCADIA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - 114 employees of an Arcadia residential care facility are looking for a job, while 53 residents must find a new place to live.
The Benedictine Health System today announced it would close its Arcadia facility due to financial concerns. The health system is based in Duluth, Minnesota.
The system blamed reduced demand for its services and higher costs. Community relations manager Janis Hooey says they are working with a state relocation team to help residents find new homes and with a dislocated worker program to help employees find new jobs.
