Proposal to limit dogs, cats fails

Posted:

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- The proposal to limit the total number of dogs and cats to four per household failed to pass the Committee of the Whole Tuesday night.

Councilmen Ryan Cornett, who proposed the ordinance, says the existing rules are not clear. It could be interpreted as four dogs and four cats or four total. Cornett says since this measure failed, his goal now will be to clear up the language in the existing ordinance and work on the number of pets in the future.
