Polk County (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin father, who already served time for child abuse, will soon be sentenced for the death of his son.
On Wednesday, Kenneth Larson pleaded no contest to first-degree reckless homicide in Polk County. In 2008, he was sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of causing severe head trauma and brain damage to his one-month old son in 2007.
The boy lived for more than four years, before dying in 2011. That led to the homicide charge. At that time, Larson told investigators that he may have rolled onto the baby in bed, and that later, the boy had fallen out of bed. Doctors say his injuries were not consistent with those explanations. He'll be sentenced in March.
