LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The woman who helped the suspect in a La Crosse homicide last summer pleads guilty in court Monday to her involvement.
Brittany Jones made the plea to a felony charge of Harboring/Aiding a Felon and misdemeanor charges of bail jumping and obstructing an officer as a repeater.
The felony charge came after fleeing La Crosse with homicide suspect Mitrel Anderson. Anderson is accused of the June 2, 2013 fatal stabbing of Demario Lee at the Kwik Trip on Cass St. in downtown La Crosse.
The pair were arrested by police in Madison the following day.
The maximum Jones could receive when she's sentenced next month is four and a half years in prison with another three and a half years of extended supervision.
She remains in the La Crosse County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
Anderson has a June trial scheduled on a charge of First Degree Intentional Homicide.
