Baldwin Twins Have Opponents Seeing Double

La Crosse, WIS. (WXOW) --------- The La Crosse Central girls basketball team has their opponents seeing double this season. As the Baldwin twins Brittany and Brooke lead the Red Raiders.

The girls aren't your "pro typical" twins, they don't always see eye to eye and they have a bit of a sibling rivalry, which fuels their play on the court.

Were pretty competitive so we would always play hard against each other and that always made us better," says Brittany. "It even still happens at practice this year, Nah me likes to put us against each other because he knows were about the same speed and can push each other."

Brittany the older sister by 4 minutes, powers Central offense, while younger sister Brooke is the teams defensive stopper.

She's really determined and can get to the basket that's why she scores a lot," says Brooke.

She's doesn't score a lot but she's gotten better at her shooting, and she's a good passer and she plays hard on defense," says Brittany.

On the floor it's hard to tell the Baldwin twins apart but one way you can tell is by what hand they dribble with. Brooke dribbles with her right and Brittany dribbles with her left.

"Everyone has their own separate way I never know what to tell people when they ask me,'' says Brittany. "I have a dimple on this cheek that's how most people tell," says Brooke.

"My first year I called them the wrong name a lot and they came up with this thing where I had to run sprints if I called them by the wrong name, fat guys don't like exercise so after I was up and down the court a couple of times I figured it out quick and now I don't think I have messed them up at all this year, " says Head Coach Nahmie George.

While the twins might not be exactly a like, their bond is one they would never break.

"Everyone always says we be," says Brittany, Best friends when were older added Brooke," and they are probably right," says Brittany.
