ONALASKA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - When La Crosse county voters head to the polls this year, they'll find new voting machines.
The public got a sneak peek at the new devices Tuesday before the Onalaska common council meeting. The city says the previous machines were nearly 20 years old and no longer certified for elections. The new machines are similar to the old, but have better scanning technology and the ballots are lighter.
The machines are on display again on February 11 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Onalaska City Hall.
