Northside Elementary Helps Explain, "What's in a Name?"

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  Three elementary schools were once part of the north side of La Crosse - Franklin, Jefferson and Roosevelt.

Jefferson closed, Roosevelt will close and all elementary students will attend a new school under construction at the corner of Kane and Gillette Streets.

Once they decided to build the school, they had to determine a name.  The school board chose Northside Elementary.  You can find out more about why by watching the story from photographer Jimmy Kruckow and reporter Dave Solie.
