WESTBY, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- Westby used a 4th quarter comeback to beat Onalaska Luther 58-53 on Friday night.
The Norsemen trailed by 7 at the half and 3 entering the 4th fourth quarter before making their run.
On back-to-back possessions, Tanner Schmitt found Ryan Gutenberger for an inside bucket. The first came with Westby down 44-42 and tied the game, the second bucket gave the Norsemen their first lead of the half at 46-44.
Luther would respond on their next possession, Marshall Walters hit a three in the corner to put the Knights back in front 47-46.
But on the following possession, Mitchell Larson gave the Norsemen the lead for good using a nice baseline drive to give Westby a 48-47 lead.
Alex Robson led the Norsemen with 19 points and Gutenberger added 17.
Colin Kennedy scored 15 points in the loss.
Westby is now 5-2 in the conference and 9-3 overall, while Luther falls to 4-3 in the Coulee and 8-4 overall.
