"My goalis not to add more work to everyone's schedule," said Hicks. "The key here is to do an assessment. Walk around your house likeyou are getting ready to buy the house and make a list of the thingsthat need to be fixed."
Hicks saidconsider how much available you have to spend and start with projectsthat you can afford. Also, makesure the money you spend will add value to your home.
The Angie'sList Pledge is easy. Step one is taking the pledgeto commit two hours to inspecting your home and identifying itsproblem areas. Step two is putting together a list of what projectsto tackle first. If you don't know where to start, Angie's Listoffers a downloadable pledge checklist.
