NEILLSVILLE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A La Crosse man is facing a homicide charge in the overdose death of a Neillsville woman more than one year ago.

On Friday, the Clark County Sheriff's Department announced the arrest of Reavon Taylor of La Crosse in the December 17, 2012 death of 19-year-old Monica Cooper. A statement from Clark County said that Cooper's autopsy showed she died of a heroin overdose. The subsequent investigation turned up information that Taylor was the source of the heroin.

According to a statement from Clark County and online court records, Taylor had a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide filed against him Friday.

Taylor has not made an initial appearance in Clark County on that charge.  He is currently held in the La Crosse County Jail without bond on a Clark County arrest warrant and other unrelated charges. No date was given as to when Taylor would be transferred to Clark County.
