Sports Idol: Monica Abbott

Favorite Sports Memory: Stepping onto the field for my first college softball game against the Gophers, being the first at bat of the entire season, being surrounded by my team, all the energy and hype. I could relive that moment over and over again.

Future Plans: Currently attending the University of Minnesota Duluth. Undeclared major; playing softball.

Non Athletic Activities Accomplishments and Awards:

Activities: Concert Choir, Sound Foundation, Student Council, President of Pro Life Knights, WINGS Leadership Council, Green Knights, helping young girls with pitching and hitting.

Awards: WKTY Sportscaster’s Club Scholarship; La Crosse Foundation Community Award; University of Minnesota Duluth Softball Scholarship; Luther High Senior Female Athlete Award
