LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The blizzard conditions Sunday night and early Monday morning made for poor driving conditions and a spike in business for tow truck companies.
Don Stoeckley of Don's Towing & Repair says these frigid temperatures have kept them busy.
"The last 24 hours has been a lot of pulling cars out of the ditches, getting suck in snow drifts, batteries failing, starting cars, some of them don't start," says Stoeckly.
Stoeckley also says his business helps around two thousand drivers every winter. Mechanics recommend routine maintenance as a way to prevent problems with your car when winter weather turns nasty.
