Iris the Owl Lays Egg on Live Webcam

Posted:

HOUSTON, Minnesota (WXOW) - Sunday was an exciting day for the International Owl Center. Iris the great horned owl laid her first egg of the season. And it was caught on live webcam.

Iris came to the International Owl Center as an injured adult and is now being studied as part of a captive breeding project.

The last time Iris laid eggs they were exactly 72 hours apart which means the next egg should come on Wednesday just after 3pm.
