LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Malachi Hankel, the man accused of First Degree Reckless Homicide in a heroin related death is set to take a plea deal.
According to the criminal complaint, the 28-year-old Hankel provided heroin to Thomas Tremain in September, 2013.
Tremain then died of an overdose in the Town of Barre.
At a court hearing on Tuesday, Judge Todd Bjerke set the plea hearing for February 13 at 2:30 p.m.
