TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - One of the athletic trainers for the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks has local ties.

Adam Barta is from Tomah and after graduating from UW-L in 2012, got a job as an intern for the Seattle Seahawks as an athletic trainer.  His father Mike Barta says he's very happy for his son and that he's very fortunate the Seattle Seahawks called his number.

"It was a job for him and he was lucky to get it.  I feel happy for him that the season turned out as well as it did of course, but its a job, you got to put everything in perspective," said Barta.

Mike also says he believes his son will be getting a Super Bowl ring as well a hefty bonus.

Adam will be attending Arkansas State to get his masters and hopefully be back in the NFL after he graduates.
