UW's Ryan finds unique motivational tool

MADISON, Wisconsin (WKOW)  One thing the Badgers learned during their recent slide is that there are no gimme's in the Big Ten anymore.

That will especially be the case Sunday when Wisconsin hosts Michigan State.

The Badgers looked much better Tuesday night because they hit some shots.

Sam Dekker and Traevon Jackson each busting out of slumps.

Bo Ryan took an interesting approach.

At Monday's film session, he showed a clip from the movie 'Pleasantville' where the entire team misses a shot.

Then, he showed clips of his players making shots.

The idea came to him while flipping channels at home.

With Bo, you never know where inspiration will strike.

"I don't know if it loosened anybody up. Sometimes you do things that put a little different image out there. If it doesn't work, then it's like, 'Man. That coach isn't very smart.' I'm not even saying that it worked but it might have loosened them up a little bit. If you haven't seen it, than you ought to watch it," Ryan said.
