Madison, Wis.(WXOW) – A La Crosse man is sentenced in federal court Tuesday for drug trafficking in La Crosse.
In U.S DistrictCourt in Madison, Eugene Shields, 33, was sentenced to 110 months in prison and six years of extended supervision.
Shields was arrested in April 2013, following a lengthy drug investigation by theLa Crosse Police Drug Investigation Unit, West Central MEG unit and the La Crosse FBI office.
During a search of Shields' home at 2001 State Rd., La Crosse, officers recovered32.9 grams of heroin, 32.3 grams of crack cocaine and 8.6 grams of cocaine. Marijuana was also found in the residence along with other drug paraphernalia.
The judge in the case stated in court that Shields was a "danger to the community."
