Dekker hoping slump is behind him

MADISON, Wis. (WKOW)  The Badgers are starting to look more like themselves lately, in part, because Sam Dekker is playing like himself again.

Dekker only scored four points in that Ohio State loss.

Since then, he's back to matching his season average of 13.5 points per contest.

If you remember, Dekker called out his team during their losing streak, trying to light a spark.

That kind of backfired.

"I got a lot of negative feedback from that just because it was taken not in the way I meant it to be. Stuff like that happens. I've just got to learn to shut my mouth, grow up, not say things along those lines. I don't think the stuff was necessarily untrue, but I was not calling out my teammates or anything like that. It was misunderstood," Dekker said.

The Badgers host Minnesota at the Kohl Center Thursday night at 8:00 p.m.
