LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – In honor of Valentine's day, there were dozens of special deliveries for patients and staff at Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare.
Volunteers walked around the medical center handing out flowers, balloons and of course chocolate.
Margaret Schaub has been volunteering at the medical center for 16 years. She said Valentine's day is always extra special.
"Everybody gets so excited," said Schaub. "These people that are sitting next to the ones that got the flowers, they are excited. They don't know if they are getting them or whose is getting them."
Volunteers all agree that Valentine's day is their busiest day at the hospital.
