A cappella quartet performs surprise singing Valentines

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Four women delivered surprise Valentine's Day greetings Friday through song.

The four women comprise A Note Above a cappella quartet. They went around to businesses, nursing homes, schools, and hospitals Friday.

At Gundersen Health System in La Crosse they surprised Joanna Berg who works there as a Medical Education Specialist, but was there Friday because her husband was in the ER.

Joanna's husband is also the one who signed her up to receive this singing valentine.

Joanna said, "It just shows how much he feels about me and how he chose to show it makes me feel special."

Along with the song Joanna got a box of candy, a letter from her husband, and a picture with the quartet.

Throughout the day A Note Above sang to more than 30 people, giving 3 or 4 performances an hour.

They have been doing this every Valentine's Day for 14 years.

The singing valentines cost 30 dollars and the money raised will benefit CMN Hospitals.
