HOLMEN, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Governor Scott Walker stopped in Holmen Monday.
He toured D-LUX Screen Printing, a company that makes custom decals.
During his visit, the Governor touted the states nearly billion dollar surplus saying that extra money will go to companies like D-LUX.
The Governor says his Manufacturers Tax Credit will help manufacturing companies put more money back in their employees hands.
That tax credit nearly eliminates income taxes paid on money made from manufacturing companies in the state.
Walker says he wants to see companies like D-LUX continue to prosper in La Crosse.
Walker says about La Crosse "you have a good work ethic, a great cluster of businesses that do well. That's part of the reason the unemployment rate is lower here than it is across the state, and of course the state is lower than the national rate which were very proud of."
The stop in Holmen was part of the Governor's Blueprint for Prosperity tour.
