LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)--Lot C, the county courthouse parking lot is set to be developed as part of a plan to build a new administrative center.
The plan is to have the County Administrative Building will be at Associated Bank, and the bank will likely build a new location on the lot. Exactly what the development on Lot C will look like, is what a group of community leaders and business owners will decide.
The advisory committee has about two dozen members and is led by County Board Chair Tara Johnson. They will come up with recommendations for the property.
"What our consultant will do is walk them through a series of exercises to look at visual preference," Johnson said. "What does the look of the lot, what appeals to them about certain different looks to the lot, about density, in terms of how high you build, how much green space there is."
The plan does not necessarily need to contain a spot for the Associated Bank, but if it doesn't the county would need to find another plan for the new administrative center. It will ultimately be up to the County Board to determine the final Lot C plan.
The next meeting of the advisory committee is on March 6 at 2:00 p.m.
