LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) The UW-La Crosse Men's Basketball team clinched the 3rd seed for the WIAC Tournament with a 63-55 win over UW-Stout Wednesday.
Callahan Skogman scored 18 points to lead a 2nd half surge for the Eagles.
Stout led by as many as 14 points in the first half before a 16-0 run spanning from the first to the second half keyed UW-L's comeback.
After the Blue Devils re-took the lead with a 14-2 in the second half, the Eagles finished the game with a 19-6 run for the win.
Luke Tweed had 10 points and Braden Tice had 11 for the Eagles.
UW-L will host a first round WIAC Tournament game against an opponent to be determined next week Wednesday.
Former Aquinas H.S. star Jimmy Whitehead had 16 points for UW-Stout.
