La Crosse Police Sgt. charged for intimidation, threatening force

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – La Crosse Police Sgt. Alan Iverson is charged with disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim/threatening force.

According to the prosecutor, Iverson threatened to kill his wife and family members.

It happened Wednesday. The La Crosse County Sheriff's Department conducted the investigation and made the arrest, according Sgt. Randy Rank of the La Crosse Police Department.

Iverson appeared in court Thursday. A judge is holding him on a $100,000 cash bond. If he posts bond, he'll be subject to GPS monitoring.

When News 19 reached out to La Crosse Police Department, Rank said they placed Iverson on paid administrative leave pending a criminal investigation. That's the department's policy.

A special prosecutor is required for the case.

Iverson will be back in court Tuesday, Feb 25.
