LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) It was a sort of homecoming for Jimmy Whitehead Wednesday night when UW-Stout traveled to La Crosse to play the Eagles.
The UW-Stout guard and former Aquinas star was playing in his first and likely only collegiate game in his hometown.
Whitehead scored 16 points last night.
He's been averaging 15 and a half points a game this season, his first at Stout since transferring from Minnesota State-Mankato.
"I just look at it with no regrets. Every game I've gone out and played my hardest. Sometimes I'll reminisce about the high school days. I remember just that toughness that Coach (Rick) Schneider taught me and how to the play the game of basketball. Everything he taught me I'm going to bring and use for the rest of my life," Whitehead said after his Blue Devils lost to UW-L 63-55.
